9 July 2008 Raleigh, NC-- The dates for the once a year tax free weekend are set. The North Carolina General Assembly has decided this year the dates will be August 1st - 3rd. The sales will start at midnight on August 1st. The weekend is always in August since the state starting doing the tax free weekends. North Carolina and other states give the tax break to anyone buying items for school or college. People taking advantage of the deals should ask questions because not all items are tax free. |
